Ammo is hard to find

Actually, I haven't found any ammo. More than a little annoyed at it.

Put on some Ameriglo IDOT sights on new Glock(haven't named her yet), courtesy of Bain & Davis in the SGV. I like the sights, service was overnight, and they seem to be done well(though I'd expect it be hard to screw up a Glock sight install).

Spent the week without girlfriend, as she was gallivanting around London and Paris(missed her flight home, but more on that later). Honorable Father says it's good practice for when we inevitably break up. I admit that I was more bored than I usually was, but was also more productive than I usually am.

Pick up for WASR and PTR-91KF on Wednesday, but still have found nothing to feed them. Hopefully the world will have calmed down by the time I find time to go out and break them in.

About that missing the plane thing:
Girlfriend and Twin took the Eurostar from Paris to London, rushing to Heathrow. Eurostar delay- missed flight back to US due New Zealand Air's "lack of customer service," went through internet/cellphone rigamarole. Eventually, strings pulled through their aunt(NZA employee), flight home scheduled. Hope they didn't miss this one.

Watched a bunch of this guy's videos. Maybe I just want an excuse to get more guns. Creepy though.

Guns and Boobies

Picked up the Glock 19 that I ordered way back in February. Haven't found anything to feed it though.

Never had the chance to just sit down and examine a Glock before. I am impressed with the simplicity of the design. Really. It took be about 10 minutes to figure out how to install a extended magazine release, and extended slide release, and a 3.5lb trigger connecter(as opposed to the 5lb one it was shipped with).

I really like it. I like how easy it is to rack, I like the "just long enough" size of the frame. And I like how goddamn simple it is operate it.

I don't like the stupid 10 round magazines it comes with(goddamn California) when the standard is 15. I don't like plastic guns(though I understand their capabilities). I definitely don't like the craptacular plastic sights, and will rectify that as soon as I am able.

Couldn't help but order more firepower before I walked out though. Sigh...


Boobie Day 2013 also came and went. Three of us went to Cafe Lu, which was pretty packed, but also had the prettiest girls, and the most second-hand smoke. I'll be sure to bring nose filters next time. Spoke at length to one of the waitresses, who said she barely started working there. Petite, no tits to speak of, but cute enough. Apparently, the owner of the place is a woman, who knows a bunch of plastic surgeons, and gets her talent from the girls who need a way to help work off their boobjobs. Or something. Was loud in there.

Cafe Temptation was our next stop. Much quieter, not nearly as packed, but didn't have as many waitresses. On the other hand, the girls here were much plushier than at Cafe Lu(also had more tattoos, but that might be a plus for some), where the waitresses were entirely on the petite scale(minus the ones with boobjobs(I assume they're boob jobs, or maybe they just won the gene lottery)).

Ended the day at some Vietnamese restaurant that I picked at random(alright, I googled "bikinis food Garden Grove" and just picked the first likely candidate). Ended up at what we assumed was a hostess joint. Except everything was written in Vietnamese. And none of the girls spoke more than a lick of English. Or anything else besides Vietnamese.

Was difficult to order food. Girls not as pretty as in previous joints. Was sad.

End Boobie Day 2013. Hopefully 2014 will be better. There might even be a 2013.5, but that's up in the air.

Went to Pueblo instead

Didn't go to Denver, went to Pueblo.

Now behind on a bunch of stuff. Sigh...

Pool table is Black with Camel felt.

Need chairs for matching poker table.

Will submit application for Contractor's License Exam this week. Hopefully will get a date sometime in May, or maybe June? We'll see.

Edit: Just found out about bombing in Boston. One off? or just the beginning? Domestic or Foreign? Awaiting more information.

One dream fulfilled

I always wanted a pool table.

One is arriving tomorrow. I dunno what color felt to get.

Might go to Denver over the weekend.

Beyond that not much has happened, except lots of Catan.

Oh, and the game Vessel is pretty intriguing.

Don't Remember Much, but Man-Date

Don't remember much about the week, must not've been exciting.

Had a man-date this weekend. Went to explore Los Angeles like tourists, even though we live in this city.

Rode Angel's Flight for the first time. Both learned and experienced new word: funicular.

Went to eat at The Standard hotel. Meh.

Had a drink on at the Rooftop bar. Old Fashioned was too red, and Moscow Mule was disgusting, but location was cool.

Then went to Venice. Never been, not sure if I wanna go back. Crowded, with instant pot-card doctors everywhere. Tried to hunt down TheChive to see if they had a store. Nope - only an office. Bleh.

Have lost faith in Command strips. Used 4 sets trying to hang a single framed poster. Failed me each time, destroying the frame at one point, requiring that I get a new one. Finally hung the damn thing using screw in flush mounts.
